MO Security Workshop with Strategos International

October 8th, Jefferson City, MO

The setting could not have been more beautiful.  Just outside of Jefferson City, Missouri on a crisp and clear Fall day, Immanuel Lutheran Church and School played host to this important training event.  This church and school have been a vital part of the community for more than 150 years and continues to faithfully minister.  James Greene & Associates in partnership with Strategos International conducted an Intruder Awareness/Response & Conflict Management for Church Personnel workshop.  The day long training provided critical tools and resources to help churches and ministry effectively meet the increased security issues we face.  Since 1999, there has been a 2,380% increase in violent incidences at churches and ministries throughout the U.S.   Vaughn Baker, President of Strategos International helped the attendees understand that we are working with churches to prepare for security issues without compromising the core mission of the church.  He also consistently discussed the importance of church training on this issue.  As Vaughn says, “capability breeds humility”.  Kurt Hetherington, took time to review the essential need for an insurance policy that will respond the needs of ministries when it comes to security.  The material and instruction were exceptional.  The Immanuel Lutheran team was a gracious host.  They made everyone feel welcomed and provided great food and snacks from Schulte’s Fresh Foods.  We look forward to more events.
