Governor Hutchinson’s Restore Hope Summit

by JGA News on August 28, 2015

It was a true privilege to be invited by Governor Hutchinson to attend the Restore Hope Summit.  There are currently over 4,000 children in the foster care system in the state of Arkansas and the number of foster families isn’t sufficient to meet the need.   Needless to say we have a crisis in the state of Arkansas.  Governor Hutchinson recognizes the crisis and this summit was organized to engage the faith leaders in Arkansas.

The summit was filled with great speakers and workshop.  The other awesome benefit was the ability to brainstorm and network on solutions to the crisis.  The insurance and risk management issues  for the people and organizations on the front line it are important.  I had the opportunity to meet with state leaders and faith based organizations to offer insight and dialogue.

We are blessed in Arkansas to have many organization that are dedicated to helping kids and families in crisis.  Several that I had the opportunity to visit with today are Arkansas Baptist Children’s Home, Children’s Home of Paragould, Second Chance Ranch, Searcy Children’s Home, Texarkana Baptist Children’s Home, and Southern Christian Home.  At James Greene & Associates, we have the honor of serving the insurance and risk management needs of many of them.  Many set up display booths in the exhibit area to provide information to the attendees about services they provide.
